sad thing is...I did the same thing to my SHO years ago. The firing order in ALL of the shop manuals including Ford's were wrong. Needless to say the engine was firing on the exhaust stroke for 2 or 3 of the 6 cylinders...red hot ceramic embers all over the driveway...what a mess! Tore the engine down and reassembled again but had the same issue. Had to have it towed and it took 3 days for the mechanic to find out what the problem was. First time I ever had the top end torn down, I labeled all the plug wires....the 2nd time around (this particular instance) I decided to trust the Ford shop manual. 2 high flow cats, a towing bill, and a mechanic bill later, I learned an expensive lesson...memorize your firing order!
