I have a Mcleod SFI 8660 bellhouse on my 347 and Tremec 3550. I had to buy an extended clutch fork for this setup since the stock, shorter fork caused the clutch cable to not clear the bellhouse. The problem I had last year was the fork would contact the front of the window of the bellhouse when I pushed the clutch pedal to the floor. Now that my engine is on a crate and the bell and tranny are out, I would like to adjust the pivot ball height to be taller to prevent the fork from contacting the front of the window(towards radiator) when I push the clutch to the floor.
Does anyone know how to do this? I assume I need to install the clutch disc and press. plate, bellhouse and fork and t/o bearing on the back of the engine. I don't know how to determine how many washers to put under the stock pivot ball to prevent the contact with the window. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.
