    Debadging fox body question

Whats the cleanest way to remove the 5.0 badge on a fox?

It's not going to have a 5 liter anyway so its kind of ricey to leave it on.

If possible, a non-destructive way would be nice since they are original badges.

    Thanks.

heat gun preferably (blow dryer will work too). the badge should come right off with some heat. Let the heat do the work and carefully peel/pull the badge off (take your time). I prefer to use cleaner wax to remove any residual residue from the badge. Cleaner wax has always worked better for me as compared to bug and tar remover or goo gone.

It'll be hot but you should be able to peel it off by hand or with a pair of pliers if necessary.

as much as i hate the douche bag who runs this place www.autobadges.com has some decent badges and can custom make anything.

but if you want a 3.8 badge in the old 5.0 style (cool on the fox imo) go to www.vmptuning.com justin has them in stock and they are identical in quality and look as OEM

just throw some pony badges on it....or go for the clean look and keep everyone guessing!

Both options are good ones. I'll have to think about it. I got time. I like the idea of keeping them guessing, but I like the idea of an OEM styled 3.8 badge.

Once I get my turbo setup in place, i'll decide which way to go. right now its just OEM computer controlled fuel n spark. Minimize the potential problems of getting the swap up and running. After that, all bets are off :)

I got a Eraser pad from Napa, it goes on a drill and it takes stickers and adhesive off without damaging the paint. It was like $12.00.

Heat it with a hair dryer or heat gun. Then take a piece of fishing line and run it under the badge. Hold the line like you would floss your teeth, and work it back and forth till the badge comes off. That worked for me anyways....
