    Gauge Installation Help!!

Ok, well i just got my pillar pod, and gauges, and i was going to hook them up today but dont quite understand the instructions.. well it says to find the engine warning light sender, and i was just wondering where thats at?? and also when hooking up the light for the gauge it says to hook the red (positive) wire up between the dash dimmer switch and dash light wire, does this mean i find the wire running from the dimmer switch to the dash lights, cut it, and splice this wire in? im pretty confused.. lol

    Thanks for any help!!

for the light if you dont wanna get into behind the cluster cover, just run a wire up to and splice into the wires goin to the parking lights. this way the light will come on when your parking lights come on. then it should just be the clear tube running from the sending unit (on block dr side) to the back of the gauge.

ground it anywhere to metal, and find a 12v (key source) for power (if needed)

post up a pic, cause i've never had any issues with fitment with either full pillar or just the one that you mount to your stock pillar. once you install the pillar with gauges it will be hard to get the speaker/grill off.

You can run the the power wire for lights to the fuse box and to the parking light fuse, and then just run the ground to somthing metal under the dash.

If you use the plastic capilary hose they give you, be careful because they do crack and break and will make a mess in your car. You can get the steel braided hose for the gauge and you won't have to worry about it then.

yes this can be done, i just dont like wiring directly into the fuse block, more of a chance of fire..

    but for the idea

also definatly listen to him bout the plastic hose, cause it does make a mess and burns like hell if it leaks on your foot.

You can get a clip that goes on the end of the wire that connects to the fuse so its done alot cleaner and safer than looping it around the fuse.
