    decent starter house?

ok im probably about to get hilbilly flamed for this but oh well.

what did you all drop on your first place? this place looks decent. especially for the area. Bridgeport is booming right now and to even get 3 bdr for under 130k is great. i also like the second lot it comes with which would be perfect for a 2 stall garage later.

i do worry about the gas heating cost of that old house. and steph isnt eager to move yet, especially with all the medical stuff. however she has agreed to move within 3 years so kyan can go to bridgeport schools.

anyways thoughts? or should i wait a few years and buy something nicer. or get something like this and add the garage, get the equity, and move again in a few years?

its a cute starter house, but I would wait and get something nicer. save your money up and get something with more room. you may need something bigger before that three years anyway!

looks decent. updated kitchens are huge. 2nd lot is good. the outside needs a little TLC in my opinion. maybe im just a fan of brick. but i dropped $115k on my house. 3 br, 2 bath, 2 car garage, and a pretty desirable area, with real estate, always take into consideration what you will be able to get out of it down the road.

you gotta pay a pretty penny for a garage. lol so the lot to build one is a huge bonus

Can't go wrong buying a house as opposed to renting, a starter house is just what it says, you buy it build up equity and then you have it to put your new house, My first house i paid $40,000 put about $10k cash in over the 10 years I lived there had the house halfway paid off, sold it for $90,000 thats $70,000 cash towards a new place, good move, you'll never get anything back from renting just my 2 cents

good point. not to mention any 3 bdr houses for rent in the area are more than this mortgage and close to equal comps in the area

true. I didn't really think of it that way. I don't rent so I didn't really put it in that perspective....
