This is the reason I was thinking about selling my car. To get one of these, from what i've read they are great cars. I test drove one and it was awesome it really surprised me how good it ran. I wanted this for a practical everyday driver. and to get down to one car considering i own 3 right now. Check the vid

a buddy of mine has one but it's blue.... it's a decent car, he uses it for an everday driver. it picksup pretty fast and gets great gas milage

THats cool. thats why i want one. for a fast everyday driver. the edmunds video says a 14.2 @ 100 mph

I said encounter. We simply were investigating who could reach the speed limit the fastest.

I've read alot about it, it has a torque control and traction control system that does limit the power in the first 2 gears, and it still runs low 14's @ 98-100 mph.

My wife has a speed6 and I have spanked a stock 4.6 in it. Although that doesn't mean a whole lot since most of them run mid-low 14s. :D

yeah my buddy has a speed6 too. cant bead awd and 275 hp factory. they run 15psi bone stock

Being someone who doesn't care for japanese cars (mostly because ricers have ruined them for me), I really like the mazdaspeed3. The idea of a turbo 4 is a great combination as a commuter/fun car.

You stay out of boost and you can cruise on the highway at over 30 miles per gallon, or get on the throttle and suprise alot of people.

You may also want to consider the caliber SRT4 now that its in production and is 23k MSRP. It has about the same times as the mazda but IMO the caliber is roomier inside.

yeah i would say ford owns a ton of mazda, they share platforms and drivelines. ever take a look at a tribute? its an escape. the mazda 6 runs fords duratec v6s as does the escape tribute and mariner. the B series is a ranger. tear a mazda apart its stamped ford everywhere.
