    what is this?

    what is this? it looks like a selonoid wfor a vaccum its in the harness with the fuel injectors looks busted to me

    That would be the canister purge solenoid.

    ok i don't have a canister anyway, it wont throw check engine light on if i take it off?

    nope sure wont. you can pull all your smog out without geting a CEL. Removing the EGR will throw a CEL, but you can buy a cheap plug to plug into the harness for around 20 bucks that turns the light code off.
