'05 went to drive by wire. In '04, the police interceptors got the Marauder 80mm MAF. The intake tube was also redesigned for a straighter shot to the throttle body. That's probably why it is a bit louder. I forgot to mention I have the '04 P71 intake tube also.

As far as the 4.10's...some guys with Vics put them in and hated them. I think most of them had P71s with the 16" wheels ('06 P71 got 17" steelies). The Marauders can run run 4.10's and be happy because they have 18" wheels. I'm happy with the 3.73's. I think the 4.10's would be too much for everyday driving...just my two cents.
