But they are overpriced just like one. We should all thank Carrol Shelby for ruining the Mustang!

I agree! I might have one some day but I will wait until they come down to a realistic price like around $25-30 grand.

Being the first always has it's perks but I am not one to pay too much just to have the latest fad. ;)

if/when do you think they will actually come down in price? i personally think they are going to retain their value for quite a while, especially the ones with lower mileage. you figure....they have been out for over a year and the cheapest used ones i have seen are still selling for 45-50! there are supposedly only a two or three year run of the gt500's correct?

All new cars come down in price. Just look at some of the prices for them already. Reminds me of the fools who paid $100k for a '91 ZR1 Corvette only to be worth $40-45 a year later.

No new cars are a good investment. Good for us who can wait when someone needs to sell theirs and we can take advantage of the moment.

Shelby has ruined the mustang price market IMO. Mustangs were always known for their bang for the buck, not high price tags.

Oh I agree with everything being said, I just feel that they might hold their value a little better with the limited production numbers. I know I will have my eye on one in 2-3 years when the novelty goes away and I might actually be able to afford one!

It's amazing to me that between the shelbys, roush, saleen tuners that they are priced at 50-65K. WTF. It's still just a Mustang no matter who's name or which supercharger is under the hood.

It's all about the authenticity and exclusivity for some. And for others it's all about the bang for the buck.
