    Brrack Obama

I had heard about this but a picture is definitely worth 1000 words!

God save us!!!Senator Barack Obama, Governor Bill Richardson, Senator Hillary Clinton and Ruth Harkin stand during the national anthem, at the Steak Fry of Sen. Tom Harkin (D-Iowa) on September 17 in Indianola, IA.
Barack Hussein Obama's photo (that's his real name)......the article said he REFUSED TO NOT ONLY PUT HIS HAND ON HIS HEART DURING THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE, BUT REFUSED TO SAY THE PLEDGE.....how in the world can a man like this expect to be our next Commander-in-Chief????

It depends on what you mean "what it stands for". Let me tie it into the photo for explanation.

Regarding the photo, im going to play Devil's Advocate for a moment.

Suppose his reason (and I dont follow any of the politics as my mind is made up with respect to voting and parties, so he may have already stated his reason for all I know) for not saying the pledge is is because of the line:

"... and to the republic, for which it stands..."

Many people who recite the pledge often think of the idealistic version of our republic instead of the reality. If his refusal to say it is because of his perception of the reality of our republic, I could see the point. There are people who disagree with our policies, both at home and abroad, so much so that refusing to say it is a form of "protest".

However, if he is doing it because he disagrees with the idealistic principles that were laid out, well then yes, I am a little confused why he is even bothering to stay.

but what do i know... i DID buy a neon after all :P

I just can't beleive how stupid people are for even thinking about voting for him. If him or the fire breathing dragon lady become president we can kiss this country goodbye or whats left of it.

He's Muslim so I would assume that "One Nation under God" is an issue for him.

to not say the pledge is in my opinion treason, our country is the greatest in the world, its better than all the others, i am not saying its superior but i think you can tell a countrys greatness buy how many people want in... do people want in or out of this country?? More people want to come in this country thatn any other country in the world, just my .02$..

doesn't matter. It is the foundation of our nation. If you(not personal. lol) don't believe in the very foundation that makes this country great then you have no business trying to lead it. It would be obvious to me at that point that the changes that you would make would be self motivated and would lead our great nation in a direction that turns its back for the very fundementals that built it.

don't get me started on hillary...no business running imo.

I think there is a general concensus among Muslims that the G-d of Abraham, Issac, and Jaboc, G-d the father of Jesus, and G-d that commanded the prophet Mohammed are all the same one. The arguments differ in details (e.g. Muslims and Jews feel G-d is incorporeal which is a contradiction of Christian teachings, etc). I could be wrong though.

Right, so if this is his motivation for not saying the pledge, he would fall into the former group of people in my devil's advocate theory, and hence I would question as well why he wants to be here.
