My name is Jamie. I am from Butler, PA (about 30miles north of Pittsburgh). I have an '04 cobra. I just bought it a couple weeks ago. I had a GT for about 6 years before that. My car has a 2.81 upper pulley, accufab tb and plenum, FIPK, Bassani catted X, and Borla catback. It has a predator tune that came with the pulley. I am looking forward to having it tuned by someone good.

If you want to PM me your email address, I can send you a tune that RWTD did for my car when I was running a 2.81 Upper / FIPK / Bassani Catted X and MAC Catback. The tune was dead nuts on with a FLAT 11.8 A/F across the board. I can also send you the instructions on how to load it into your Predator.

wow, thanks...I was planning on getting the SC ported and adding some cooling mods though. I was just going to wait till the work was done during the winter and drive to Kauffmans to have it tuned in the spring. Black is the best color. I had a black GT for years and loved it. My girlfriend says, "You paid $26,000 for the same car you already had" I guess i wouldn't love her if she did understand, lol

As a heads up, Kauffman's does not tune with the Predator. You will need a SCT Product, such as a XCAL2. They did my tune on my Cobra as well as many other members here. They are very good at what they do and come highly recomended.
If you are going with a Stiegemeier Stage IV Port, I highly recomend going with a lower pulley as well. I had mine done and lost torque after the port using only the upper 2.81. Once I added the 4# Lower, torque was regained and then some!
I would say it would be 99% safe. True all cars are a little different, but you could always do some A/F Dyno Pulls or get a Wide Band to check the A/F to be on the safe side.

Thanks for everything. i already talked to Kauffmans. i know i will have to switch to an sct. i figure it is worth it for a good tune that comes recommneded. i can't find anyone around here that i trust and uses Predators. i will just sell it when i am done. With the port, 2.81 upper and 4lb lower, what kind of cooling mods will i need? Should i install the tune you gave me until i get the other stuff done. Think it would make much difference between that and the canned tune that came with the pulley? I guess my main concern is safty, ya know?

There will be a night and day difference to the canned tune!!! I would recomend trying it.
As far as cooling mods, I did the Heat Exchanger Upgrade as well as a Driver's Side Head Cooling Mod.
BTW, you ever see this car around Butler?
did you use the evenflow? i have been doing as much research on my car as possible and have come accross that. Is that something i can do myself? I am no mechanic, but can follow directions pretty well and have a basic knowledge of engines. Thanks so much for that tune. That is really cool of you.
