Was talking with a guy the other night from Mon City who has a Hertz car. He plans on driving it this summer. Bought it in 81 for 11k.

Later in 81 or 82 he passed on a Boss 9 for 7k.

    He passed on a 67 GT500KR vert some-time later for 9.5k.

He sold his 69 mach 428cj car with 427 side oiler (the 428 blew up)....

Atleast he kept the hertz car!

That was the going price in 81. I restored a 66 Hertz for Fran Kress in 82 he sold for 14! He sold his 289 Cobra CSX-2268 for 40K to it's north of 400K..
The Burgandy cobra, the Guardsman blue cobra is CSX-2260 one of the 5 FIA comp cobras made, Chick Ford owned it in this pic. Chick sold it for 750,000 K in need of a restoration, a NFL player bought it put it through a 1 Million resto
today it's valued at 5 Mil..

Same cobra CSX-2260 when Vic Franklin owned it in Bloomfield in the early 70..

    Very very cool map....

Was up at my Ford buddy's garge last night...one of his friends just got a lead on a 70 Boss 9 in the area...been sitting for 26 yrs. I'll post up some pics if it all turns out ot be legit. You know how these stories can get started. I can't tell you how many "Boss" 302's I've seen...:D

The guy I know with the hertz passed on the KR vert in jefferson...he said at the time the car was worth 25k....(mid-late 80's)...he didn't have the money then to get it. Man is he sorry he didnt' get a loan!

There was a 69 Boss9 in Bakerstown that someone sand blasted the body and just destroyed the body, i don't know what ever happened to that one but it might be sitting in a barn!
