    N/a 347, 466 Rwhp

Copied and pasted from the corral.

Took the car down to the dyno yesterday after having it torn down replacing valvetrain parts in an attempt to fix a high RPM power drop I was encountering last time I was on the rollers. The last time on the dyno the car made 453 RWHP @ 5900 rpms and shortly after that power dropped due to instability in the valvetrain. I know another member of this board made 454 @ around 6800 rpms with race gas in the tank and a bunch of timing. So I figured 453 @ only 5900 with 91 octane and only 30 degrees total timing was pretty good But of course the valvtrain issue needed to be sorted out to see what this setup could really do.

At the end of the session the car was puting down 466 RWHP and 427 RWTQ!!! All at a nice comfortable 6200 rpms Again, on pump gas, 91 octane and only 31 degees total timing. I'm very pleased with this setup now.

That car has been around for a while now and was the first 10 second NA 347 94-95 car that I ever heard of. From what I've heard, the guy can drive the hell out of that car!

Looks like he got together on some aspects of the suspension with Kevin Slaby from Baseline Suspension. From what I gather it has gone in the .70's with a 1.46 60' on a drag radial.

Definitely a stout power producer @ around 1.58 FWHP per c.i.d. You gotta love it when time is spent to dial in the peripherals and the power is unleashed. It is common to see the avg. pump gas 347 struggle to eclipse 400 to the tire.

    Joe,

this guy at HiTech likes larger intake duration than exhaust. He seems to be successful with it, I'm not sure how he plays with the opening & closing events on the cam. Take a look at some of his cams:
    https://www.hitechmotorsport.com/sto...6c54275039c077

This looks the top secert cam:
Specs: 248/244 duration, 108 lobe sep, .584/.576 lift This is the big dog. If you are looking for a cam to go really fast, this is it. In a 347, this one made 430+ RWHP & ran 10.90's at 125 MPH.

It's one of those Hi-Tech 347's. Ya know, the ones with a 3.0" stroke and a 4.0" bore.
