anyone see what the Senate is proposing? looks like they will cause us to not get it at all. Bush has said he will not sign anything with anything attached.

The Senate is proposing this:
single - $500
married filing jointly - $1000
$ per kid - nothing
salary limit - none

so the House has passed this:
single -$600
married filing jointly - $1200
$ per kid -$300 each with no limit
salary limit - $175k

so if the Senate pushes this it looks like it wont be approved!? A lady at work had a link from CNN but i cannot find it so if anyone finds it to prove or disporve this, share it.

Screw that...old people already get Social Security income that I pay into (and will never reap any benefits/rewards from)...and the people on welfare don't even file/pay taxes so how the hell can they get a refund!!!!!

All this "refund" talk is nonsense. It's a retarded, idiot's lottery. My wife and I get as little taken out of our pay as possible (whichever way you check the W-4? I don't know, but it's the smallest amount of taxes taken out). I've just done some rough math this morning. Our house is paid off, so we have no interest to claim. No other drug or porn business on the side. Just two straight sources of income and probably using the standard deduction because we don't have enough in itemizations. The point is... it looks like we're going to get about $1,800 BACK. This is pure BS. It should just about break even or I wouldn't even mind OWING a little bit. The GOVERNMENT holds onto this money all year and makes interest off of it and then gives it back. It's freaking rediculous.

I work with a few numbskulls that pay as much as possible throughout the year, so they can hop around and tell people they're getting $3, $4, even $5,000 back and they're HAPPY about this. NO, dummy the government robbed you all year and made money on your money because you're too stupid to manage your own.
