I've been tire-kicking again. This guy sent me more pics. This thing is clean.
Anybody ever have a 97-99 with the one 'ole big radiator? any problems?

price is a bit to high for the year. if your interested, my uncle has a 2000 yz 250.

Bike has brand new tires, top end new about 10 hours ago. Pro-taper bars, frame guards, radiator guards, and E-line carbon fiber pipe guard. 1800 obo

yeah, I was thinkin the OBO would get me down a couple hundred. That YZ is nice, but I sold an '03 YZ250 a few years ago and I'm looking for a Honda or Zook this time around. I guess I'm weird like that. :o

edit: definitely keep that one in mind, though. are those recent pictures? what kind of tires?

most likey they are michelins. he likes them. and that pic was taken around thanksgiving time i think. it looks alot cleaner in person. and he has a 05 and several other bikes and quads so this one rarely gets ridden.

I might just trade in my stang on a 2008 full-size whatever, default on the loan and go on welfare like everybody else in FayCo. Then, I could go riding every day.

heck yea, i'd be willing to help out as well if someone needs help hauling a bike...

That was one of the main reasons i looked for a truck when i bought the HD truck.. I could have gotten an AWD car, but i wanted something to haul the dirtbike, so it had to be a pickup...

Oh, and on a side note: I'm not sure if any of you boys are looking for riding gear, but on ebay there is a seller that has a rediculous deal on riding pants. I just picked up a brand new, w/ tags, pair of Fox Racing Straffer pants for $30. They're so cheap b/c they're model year '05 leftovers, but i honestly don't give a shit - if you're worried about gettin 2008 model stuff, then go ahead and spend $170... got them in the mail two days ago and they're great pants - top quality - much better than the Fox 360 pants i have from several years back... i'm not sure what all variations of colors/sizes the seller has tho...

well, first I'm looking for my boss to hand me an order form for a p/u truck.

after that, everything else will fall into place.

price is not really a factor. prefer 2-stroke 250cc. if I can find a mint 05/06/07 for $3,000 - $3,500 that's been ridden 5 times and needs nothing, that'd be cool.

Or, something like I listed here or your uncle has... few years old for under 2K, then if it needs chain/sprockets, tires, brakes, bars, levers, seat, plastic I can do all that myself.

I almost like working on them as much as riding them so I'm prolly leaning towards the older stuff. I can customize that way, too with black sprockets, gold chain white plastics and what not.

I'm not racing motocross. Somebody might talk me into the GNCC race in Somerset this July, but that's about it. I just trail ride on the weekends mainly.

edit: abused top-end, clapped out shock, leaky fork seals, dirty power valve, worn reeds is scary, too?

i was thinking of trying that one also. it would be the first gncc race for me as i'm a diehard mx'er. i heard the someset course is very rocky. i need to get a skid plate, and rad braces to do it.

I've been riding these stupid things since I was 5. There's nothing better than a 10,000RPM psychiatrist. Off-road is the way to go (FOR ME). No laws, no cops, no Ford Explorer Driving Talking on my Cell Phone Little Dog Holding Wenches to run over me and kill me. I can hit some single track at 20MPH with trees wizzing by my head, totally out of control and if I do crash, maybe I'll get some scratches and bruises and continue to ride.
