    2008 Mustang Week

Ok, i know that this is months away, but i missed it last year and dont plan on missing it again, so i figure to start planning now....who wants to go? who has gone in the past and have any insight? is it worth it? i dont want to drive to South Carolina and have it be like the saturday night car show in Irwin lol. If its worth it, which it seems to be, and if anyone at all wants to cruise down, i am IN!

I went a couple years ago. Definitely something cool to go to at least once. I'm glad I went, but I don't know if I'll ever go back. It was so hot the week I was there. Mid to low 90's and all the shows are of course in the middle of hot black parking lots so that doesn't help.

went last year, by accident. Wifey made plans with friends about this time last year, then I happened upon the website a few months before. we took the stang. we've been to the Outer Banks before, but haven't been to Myrtle Beach. I couldn't believe how many people were there. I thought we would see a lot of stangs on the highway being as it was 'Mustang Week' but they were far a few between. However, there seemed to be hundreds, maybe thousands of cars at the one big show Thursday... and lots of aftermarket vendors and Ford. that was cool.

We had a lot of fun that week, but not very relaxing as far as a vacation. If I was 22 and single, I would do it again in a heartbeat, but I'm old and married, so I'd rather go up into the Tennessee mountains and sleep for a week in a cabin with no electricity or phone lines.

What are the dates again? From when to when? I'd love to go if I can get someone to work for me. Anyone want to deliver Little Debbie snack cakes for a week. LOL

I'm sorry... Friday is the big show... http://www.mustangweek.com/events.shtml
Here's the schedule for 2008. Check that forum out. People are crazy to talk all year long about a one week event.
Anyway, after the soles on your shoes start to melt, you can go into the Hooters, relax in the A/C and have a few cold ones.

Been there the last 3 years and will be going again this year.
Already have our condo booked. You will need to start looking now for a place and most like (unfortunately) everything might already be booked (unless you find something far out from the action).

Going the last 3 years I can tell you this:

    1) it has been HOT HOT HOT that time of year. And staying in a parking lot all day is brutal, so drink LOTS of water

    2) cruising the main drags at night with hundreds of other stangs is SWEET

My other car club won "Club Participation" award last year with the most attendees from 1 club. We will be in full force at Carlisle and Mustang Week this year again.
