I am looking at replacing the stang with a gto so i've been doing some homework on em. Scott, as someone stated earlier the ls1 cars aren't that far off the ls2's. The ls1 autos will run low 13's with a few bolt-ons, and the ls2's will do high 12's so its not a huge difference. I've driven both the ls1 and ls2 cars with the torque management taken out with a tune and the auto's will shift nice and hard. So in my opinion you really can't go wrong with either.

Just got another email from someone completely different....
"Red switch was added to protect the traction control switch.
Thanks,

That's interesting
cant we all just get along?? lol...scott, ive ridden in a few gto's and they are really comfortable and they are definitely fun, BUT if your looking for a good daily, why not just go cheap and 4-cylinder(ish).

i am not saying the the gto is the best thing for the snow but it will do better than my stang, And i need something that is reliable that would be able to make an 90mile trip everyday for school and get decent gas mileage, Anything will be better than the mpg i get now.

im still feelin your srt-4 idea man, they are decently quick with 25 to 30+ mpg...or just get a regular neon....saw an srt-4 on autotrader, red, had like 90k , think they wanted 8900 for it.....my buddy has one, put a boost controller on it and he claimed he put the boost at like 30psi, i dont know how well the car would hold together like that, but if it did.....wow.
