super low mile 1990 GT Conv. T5 for sale

    Hi everyone,

My friend Al is selling his '90 GT Convertible. I have known this car since new and it is completely stock and unmolested other than the pony rims ( he has the perfect stock turbines with original Goodyears on them - he bought the ponies because he hated to clean the turbines ). It's super clean and has really low miles. The car is in the Robinson / Kennedy area, about 15 minutes from the Greater Pgh Airport. Al bought this car a few weeks after I showed up in my "new" used '88 GT hatchback and took him for a ride....

Here's what he sent me. I'll also attempt to attach his photos - they're huge though, so here goes...

Oh - and the Ivy Green '66 fastback with the 347 stroker, toploader 4-speed, shelby hood, and 15" torque thrust rims in the garage is not for sale...( and if it was, I WOULD buy it!!! ) I need another '66 that is slower than mine!!!!! :p

Oh - your best bet is to call him on his cell ( see # below ), or you can email him at algerstel@yahoo.com

    Thanks everyone!

Hello, anyone looking for a low-mileage, 1-owner 1990 Mustang GT convertible?

Thanks! The car really is beautiful. There aren't many pampered low mileage one-owner stock 5.0 foxes out there these days. Tell your buddy to give Al a call if he's interested. You never know...

    New Price - $10,000

Just heard today that Al has dropped the price on this '90 GT conv.

    NEW PRICE = $10,000

He's not actively trying to sell it because he has been very busy lately. But he wants the car gone. If any of you want a super clean super nice fox, you owe it to yourself to check out this car. It is that nice. Compare this car to other unmolested cars you can buy for $10k and I think this is a lot of car for the $$ considering the low low miles and the excellent condition. I don't think the car has been driven 500 miles in the last 4 years. Remember, the stock turbine wheels with the original rubber ( in nice shape ) come with the car. He also has a nice car cover that goes along with it.

Thanks Tim. It's a super nice car. I try not to look at it when I visit his house...because I'd be tempted to make him an offer...

Did your buddy sell his maroon fox ragtop yet? That's a nice car too. I like the '90+ cars because more of them were solid colors rather than the 2-tone with silver ground effects and the tacky tape stripe inside the side moldings. Of course, the 2 gray foxes I have owned were an '88 GT and an '87 GT conv, but I promptly removed the tape stripes ( sky blue stripe on a gray car - eeewwww!!!! )

I agree, I had the blue '90 with silver, and I was so glad there was no blue tape stripe in the gound effects. Solid Blue & Silver was good enough. I did have a small silver pinstripe painted up top, but it was only seen, when up close.

If I had the cash in the bank, I probably would've already jumped on this GT. It is sweet. I am not too crazy about the red interior, ( not a true fan of red) but just like my '94, I adjust.

    Sold!!

Thanks for everyone's comments. I heard that the car sold last week. A dealer in Chicago bought it, and picked it up in an enclosed tractor trailer.

I believe the final price was $9800. Considering the fact that a dealer bought it, I think that shows how amazingly clean this car was. I wonder what kind of profit the dealer will attempt to make on it...

I doubt Al will have any separation anxiety with his GT being gone. His "new" toy is a 1997 Porsche 993 Twin Turbo - 24k mile California car.
400+hp and all-wheel drive must be a real hoot to drive. Hopefully I'll get a chance to find out this summer... :D

Not sure. I posted the ad here and on the Corral for him. It is possible that he had it on ebay at one time - but I don't know for sure.
