good for that rat bastard. not the deer... the Beemer owner.

j/k deer season s/b 365 days a year in PA. they're oversize vermon imo, and they destroy vehicles, too.

According to the story on another forum, thats a fox---BMW hit it at 140 on the Autobahn.
    Don't think that'll buff out.

Every time they start that B-mer up it's gonna smell like a BAR-BEE-Q!!

I had a buddy with an ugly '76 Olds Omega back in high school. One night he ran over a deer that was dead in the road. It was on a road that wasn't well lit, so he didn't see it until it was too late, and hit it at 50+ mph. The next morning he and his Dad spent an hour under the car pulling the entrails off the undercarriage. It was hilarious - for the next month or so, every time he'd come by it smelled someone was cooking some steaks on the grille.....

It is hard to believe that it made it through that small opening in the grill and most of the body ended up near the firewall. Must have been in just the right position for that to occur. I feel bad for the guy that has to clean up that engine bay.

Haha, reminds me of a good story I had driving my '89 SHO back from WFC in St. Louis. I was cruising about 90-100 through Indiana (unlit highway like 3am) and came up on a deer carcas. Didn't have time to brake or swerve so I just went over it, luckily it was a small deer. Pulled off at the next exit an it smelled like a BBQ so we decided not to stop as it didn't smell at speed. The SHOs have an exhaust piece by the Y-pipe that sticks down and it scalped the deer. When I checked it in morning it was like a piece of fur with meat hanging down from the exhaust connector.
BTW, sorry to hear about your SHO, looked like a clean car. I've had an '89 and '94 MTX and loved them. I saw you were looking for a replacement option. I bought a SVT Contour and like it and I'd also recommend an '02+ Maxima 6-spd. My wife has an '01 Maxima SE anniversay and its a very nice car. The '02s came with the 3.5 and could be had with a 6-sp, probably be very SHO-like.
