    Exhaust feeler thread

Hey guys and gals, you all know i do tons of custom exhaust here at the shop, I was just trying to see what kinda mufflers everyone is using, i currenlty stock flowmaster and magnaflow but i am thinking of adding bassani to the list of mufflers/kits i keep on stock, so let me know if bassani is real a desireable product.. thanks

I don't know about desireable, but my buddy(Bernie) has a Bassani cat back and x pipe, and it sounds amazing.

I love the way my bassani X pipe sounds. I hear the cat-backs sound great but the only thing undesireable about bassani is the price.

people will ask me if my exhaust is stock. I have an OFF-ROAD MAC prochamber and 2-chamber flowmasters welded into the stock cat-back. I think the prochamber acts like a 3rd muffler sometimes. If my bumper didn't have cut-outs for the exhaust tips, I'd put the 3" MAC pro-dump kit on mine.

Tim, stock MAC. They're cheap and they sound great. Even though they rust and look like crap in 3 months, you'll sell tons of them.

Hooker Aero Chamber mufflers IMO sound much better than Flowmasters...and they are less expensive. Hooker Maximum Flow mufflers sound awesome as well. Colin can vouch for both!

Nope I have the Pypes Violater axle back on the GT. Colin had a prochamber and Hooker Max flow mufflers on his Notch....one of the best sounding 5.0's I have heard to date. Always got nothing but compliments at car shows regarding the sound.
Colin has a set of Aero Chambers on his 66 Galaxie (428) that sounds unfreakinbelievable!
The Hooker Aero Chambers are supposedly the best flowing chambered mufflers on the market. They are half chambered/half straight through....makes for a sweet sound! The Pypes violator mufflers are very similar in design.
The GT sounds like a 1970's Ford truck when it's cold...or so a certain person told me..lol Sounds mean as hell once warmed up though!

Ask Mike @ Wolfpack how the Pypes sound on the GT....he'll give you his unbiased opinion

best I can find at the moment. Sounds like it still has the factory H-pipe.
Comparing Apples to Apples...flowmaster sounds like a JCwhitney 12" sub...yeah it puts out some bass but it's unfocused and undefined but yeah it sounds ok. The aero chamber sounds like a 12" Image Dynamic sub...alot more focused and defined but still having that distinctive chambered sound.

    On silverado I have Magnaflow.

And you put the magnaflow on the 96 that's for sale

I like bassani but the price is killer.
