I picked up a set that I was going to use as skinny fronts. My car is 5 lug, so 4 lug and GM patterns are going to be different, but there where a number of little details that led me to return them and just get real Weld's.
The "holes" where the lugs go in are real deep making putting a lug nut on a blind fishing expedition. For something I was going to swap around for the track, it seemed like a PITA.
The hole for the lug nuts are too small for a real socket. I had to use a 3/8" spark plug socket to even get something in there.
With the 5 lug wheels. the center bore darn near came out to those lug holes. All it would take is a slight ding from the venter bore into the lug hole, and even a thin wall socket wont get in there. One of the wheels I had, was dinged just a little right out of the box, it was that thin in there.
They arent very light.
I figured they just werent worth in hassel what few $$'a I would save with them, and took them back and sprung for real Welds.
I though you might ask how I knew what wheels they where ;)
