well bob, i took your advice on getting a new selnoid, even though the one on it was damn near new and it fired right up and the spark was gone. i did notice when i pulled the wires off the old one that the little metal box looking thing, not sure what it is, was actually against the bracket for the coil. but either way its fixed. thanks for the helpOriginally Posted by Martin0660
I had the same problem last year with my 5.0 car, so I took the solnoid off the 2.3t car and put it on the 5.0 and it was fixed. Well I go to advance auto and get a new one for the 2.3t car and it lasted about a week and was doing the same thing the 5.0 car was doing, so back to advance and 2 solnoids later I got a good one that worked.
