spark from battery!!!

i put the pos term on and then go to put the neg term on and it sparks real bad. im thinkin maybe a ground or something. what do you guys think? i just replaced the starter but it was doing this before i did that.

Any load will cause a spark. Hook the pos up first.

You should always put the ground on b4 the hot. Well, atleast I do. And do you have any aftermarket fans or any kind of load on the battery drawing current you will have that spark. Is this on the green one or hers? How big a spark when you touch the terminal will depend on the load at the time of the connection. Give me a call when you get a min.
