    WTB: 94-98 V6 or roller

Looking for a 94-98 V6 5-speed car or a roller, the car will be getting a carbed 302 anyway. I prefer a no option car (no power windows), but I'm pretty open. A couple dings and dents are no big deal, car doesn't have to be perfect, but I don't want to rebuild it either. Thanks for looking!

Lou, I'm really gonna try this time, it makes me mad that I didn't take any the last time around.

Yeah, I ran that cam up until I blew the motor up last year, worked pretty well with the mild combo. And I wrecked the car in august. In-car video of it is posted in the autox/track forum. How you been man? Haven't seen you in a while.

Ive been around like a doughnut.....LOL If i remember correctly i think i remember you saying one time " carburetors are for those low tech redneck chevy owners"......lol ive got a carb on my car now too love every minute of it. i assume you are still autocross crazy? i was thinking about going to a drift event this summer just to jerk around. let me know if you need any parts for that new car i can probably hook you up

I never said that!! (ok, ok, I might've) I really just want to try something new with the carb, plus it is quite a bit lighter. I don't really autocross much anymore, I've gotten hooked on the time attack/ hillclimb thing recently. I really want to get back to the dragstrip this year though, even though the 475 lb. coilovers and koni DA's really aren't too dragstrip friendly.

Stock short block (of course) 302, victor jr., cleaned up twisted wedges, and undecided on the cam. I'm probably going to go with an afm high rev package, I want to shift at 6700 or so. I will definitely be going to the dyno to tune, so if you want to come you're more than welcome.

you sould quit fooling with that hydro roller crap and stick a solid roller in there i love mine. dont believe the hype about all the "maintence" then you could rev that thing to the moon. my 351 will spin till the crank falls out onto the concrete. comp makes their "street" roller series which is what im running its like 250/258@ .050 and .621 lift on a 112lsa it still pulls 12" of vac at idle. thats bigger than the AFM117 or their "biggest" cam. and about 50 cheaper too.

I absolutely agree with you about the solid, but the budget calls for a hydro roller for now. Plus with the way the competition looks this year I might have to put a blower back on the thing anyway. I'm probably going to build the rest of the car and do the engine last, I don't know if 320ish at the wheels is going to be enough.

what are you going to do with it. you going to take a break from turning left and right and hit the 1320. going to go to a blower? how bout turbo? easy on parts and unlimited hp. where are you living now? same place? my buddys turbo car went 10.40's@133 on a 331 with small tao3's and an aod last summer.

It will be built as a hillclimb/track car primarily, with a few autocrosses thrown in. If I run it at PRP it will probably only be once. The motor has to hold together for a few minutes at wide open throttle, so I'm trying to avoid forced induction, but the competition (evo's, sti's) is tough. If I have to I'll put a used s-trim on it, probably won't go turbo, just don't have the time to do it right.
