Not really. I saw a reference similar just the other day about it on a show that was talking about an apocalypse type situation.
Basically shutting down the entire earth electronic grid from solar storms. Quite interesting to say the least.

I saw that show also - crazy stuff that WILL happen again. Happened 150 years ago when we didn't depend on electricity...when local farms fed the surrounding communities. Except this time it will fry huge transformers that power everything...and take years to build...and are only built in 2 countries in the world...and can't be transported without reinforcing bridges... Show had me glued to the TV.
