    SHO Stoppa resurrection commences

3.0 Liters of DOHC power has a pulse.

Pulled most of interior today to clean. Trans.will be addressed next. Here's some pics of the progress. Street raced this car for years back in the mid to late 90's. Buried Quad 4 Grand Ams, and showed a 5-speed 87 speed density my tail lights. Hell, the sound of 7,300 rpm shifts did more than blow his doors off he wrecked the S.O.B. We won't disclose who this fine young gentlemen is, unless viper_ed cares to share the story.

ive had a few of these cars and i loved them. just dont do monster burnouts with with them as the transmissions dont hold up very good. dont ask me how i know that . they run good for weighing 100,000 lbs.

I used to have one just like that but in automatic.

I did a chip from the Sho Shop, air intake, and a couple other goodies. Car ran great for a daily driver.

Very nice. I had an '89 and a '94 in the same color but with the full leather interior. SHOs 5-speeds are awesome DDs, if I could've found a super clean on I'd be driving one now, but my SVT Contour is pretty fun too.
What are you doing to it, general resto?

Yea, in a sense. New carpet, trans. rebuilt, maybe new clutch/flywheel combo, maybe off-road Y-pipe, general tune-up, K&N, new windshield, need to decide what's going on with the cat-back, perhaps weld the stock stuff back into place or go aftermarket. A few odds and ends and finally a buff job. 89,xxx mile 2nd Gen.

    Sounds like a good plan.
If your looking at mufflers, check this out: http://store.edelbrock.com/304stainl...mmufflers.aspx
Edelbrock clearance mufflers---found these from a tip by another forum.
I ordered a SS 2.5" RPM muffler for only $30.
Edelbrocks mufflers listed above are straight through like Borla/Magnaflow but they changed to a new chambered Flowmaster-style design so these must be on clearance.
Hope this can save someone some $$$.
Also, I have a set of the 17" Ford Racing wheels made for Taurus and T-birds that look exactly like '95 Cobra Rs. I bought them a while back but it doesn't look like I'll be having a SHO again. They're silver w/o tires and I planned on listing them on SHO sites.
They'd look sweet on your SHO and I only want what I paid---$250.
Let me know if your interested.

I had a set of those Edelbrock RPM's on my 91 SHO...replaced the resonator with a glass pack...sounded very exotic with the 80mm MAF and intake!

X2 Mark, I had a 5speed and the thing ran like a bitch. It was that same blue color. I raced a 91 Stang GT and beat it.
