    i think?

Hey, i figured maybe my input would help,,,, i think they started to use 5 spds in 84, maybe even late 83's, i have a motor out of a 84 and it was not a roller, but i cant confirm anything,,,, but both of those cars are cool!!! Another thing is unless someone changed it over, the rear in that car is a 7.5....not a 8.8,,,,those 7.5 wont stand any kinda abuse!!!!! But dont let that discourage you in your swap, remember its what you like, and think what you already have and its worth,,, unless that car is really clean undernieth, i wouldnt even consider it!!!!!!

    I think 4 eyes rule :D

I can see its an original non AC car, but he butchered the rare, faux allen head dash trim to put a clock in there :( actually, I dont think those dash panels are right for an '80, they should be either the checkered or wood grain I think??

Its a console delete car. In some circles thats desired, although not my style.

Does it have an 8.8 in it? The problem with it in my opinions, its an '80 with an engine?? Who knows whats really in the car. I would vall that even semi-restored. It looks like it was just pevced together from whatever he wanted. not saying thats bad, just not original.

I dont think its a good trade on your car unless he is throwing cash on it too.

    Random thoughts.

The 83 5.0's were not roller motors but considered Marine(flat tappet) setups from Ford. Just like "badstanglx" said, the first 302 rollers came out in 1985.
A 1980 Gt restored wouldn't bring too much as an investment point of view unless you swapped in say a late model Modular motor to take advantage of the one thing the car does have.....a lighter chassis weight over the 87-04 mustangs.
The 93 auto would probably bring a bit more $$$ and appeal to more people just considering the COUPE/NOTCHBACK craze that's definatley grown over the years! As for finding some coupe interior,it mostly depends on what color you looking for or replace it with. Black interior is the most sought after color....Red and Blue not too much with Tan being the lowest on the wanted charts.
