    When you buy a mechanical guage it comes with a fitting that screws into the intake and then the probe slides into that and the nut attached to the sending unit of the guage screws into that fitting traping the probe and sealing it. He appears to be trying to screw the nut attached to the guage right into the intake without the other fitting, as a result the probe is able to move around and will not seal.

    Yes i figured it out, the gauge is in, and works fine now... thanks guys!
