i have one and love it. they are very easy to use. in all honesty its the best money ive spent on the car so far. it make life so easy, changes are at a push of some buttons and as long as u have a good idea what your car is capable timing, fuel, etc u it is very simple. ony thing else that is needed is a wideband and u will be very happy. if u would need any help i would be glad to give any info needed and stangtuning.com has a whole section dedicated to tuning with the pms. there are many that really know what they are talking about there. hope this helped.

as what fastfox91 says, I've had mine for 2 years now, on a s-trim car, and now the turbo car. Couldn't have drivin it as efficiently without a pms, and wideband. They're great because you can remove fuel at start up to stop those hard start problems with big injectors. for power adder cars with FMU, you can ditch the FMU if your using at least 42# injectors and be safe. Basically if you know how much timing you want to run, then your golden... the wideband will tell you the rest. Just fatten it up and if your street tuning do 3rd gear pulls or 4th gear if that is the gear of traction and slowly take out fuel where needed according to the load range/RPM your at. Stangtuning.com is a great site, where i started as well. Don't let that place overwhelm you though, it really isn't as hard as it looks on there. If you need any help, we are here.

Rick Anderson told me the PMS won't help eliminate hanging idle issues or give the ability to turn off the EGR/CEL. He was talking about an sn-95 PMS so I am not sure if this applies to you or not. The PMS does a great job but it is more limited in that you cannot alter many of the tables and settings.

their is a complete idle control menu not sure what u mean there but as for the egr u cant turn it off however they sell a plug that u just plug in it for 10.00. as of what tables it cant alter are u talking about. with the new pms u can go as far as single cylinder tuning.

If that is the case, then we could use a little more info as SN-95 is vast. He did mention driving his car on the street i assumed. I'm not sure what all you could really want to change. If he's looking for a Stand alone system then the PMS is not the way to go. If your buying a pms to turn off your EGR CEL lol then your in the wrong place all together.. I did like fastfox mentioned and bought the $20 plug that removes the CEL For the EGR and is totally safe. you can find one at www.fordfuelinjection.com or ebay. That is all year biased though. I'm sure if he goes into detail about his application and goals we can more than help him out :)

I was referring to the 94-95 5.0 computers specifically. Rick A. told me that when installing an aftermarket cam in one of these cars that frequently this causes the idle to hang up at 1400rpms for several seconds when coming to stop. I experienced this first hand in my 94 cobra with a 347 and aftermarket cam. Rick A. stated the PMS cannot cure this problem. Dave at SGS Performance cured my hanging idle by modifying the Dashpot table when I had a custom SCT tune done there. Evidently, dashpot, and there may be other tables, cannot be tweaked via the PMS.
