Unfortunatly I have never had the pleasure to work on a 10. Biggest thing I ever worked on was 46A D8 and a 77V D8. Then the usual 631B's and highlifts. Did the rollers on a 955L, every single one was stuck it. Some came out with a rosebud, the others I had to use a yancy to drill them out and re-tap. What a pain.

HAHAHA Its not a pleasure? HAHAHA When I go to Wheeling Pitt Steel Corp, they have a few 998's with chainmail on the tires. Pretty neat. It keeps them from blowing when they come in contact with the molten slag from the pots.

I have an intake bolt that broke off inside the head of my assembled ( used ) shortblock that I want to drop into my wife's '66 GT and I have been unable to get it out. Wondering if anyone would be available to help me with it - I'd gladly compensate you with a tasty homemade dinner prepared by my wife ( you don't want to try my cooking ) and a couple of cold beers ( any flavor, as long as it is Sam Adams!!! ). I really don't want to have to take the motor to a machine shop for this ( too much of a pain ), and I don't want to pull the head ( it's a 62k mile motor in nice clean condition ) - it's currently on a stand in my garage - and I swear it laughs at me every time I walk past...

I tried to use an easy out without success. It is possible that I made the problem worse...

Well - finally some good news. After attempting to drill the bolt out with a left-handed bit I tried to remove the bolt using an easy-out. For the two weeks before I tried this I squirted penetrating oil into both sides of the bolt are every day, hoping that the darn thing would loosen up a little. Then the easy-out promptly snapped off inside the bolt as I tried to thread it in. :flipoff: Easy-out my a$$!!!!!!!!

At this point I figured I just had to bite the bullet and pull the head to remove the broken bolt.

So yesterday I visited a friend down the street and we fabbed up a jig and managed to drill out the bolt using his drill press. I caused some very minor damage to the threads, but they'll still be plenty strong to do their job ( intake manifold bolt ). So hopefully this project is back on track.
