Ok I thought we were all on the same page here. I'm talking about a 351 windsor stroked to a 408 with some aftermarket heads and cam. Not some special combustion chamber design. Your safe bet is going to be 10.5:1 on pump gas. Call any of the major companies and they will tell you the same thing I know because I did it when I was choosing a compression ratio for my build.
We aren't comparing apples to apples when you say my GSXR has 12:1. Are you going to say it safe to spin the 408 to 13,000 rpm's too .
I don't think you can compare the LS7 either because they are totally different animals. Plus I think the LS7 had years of technology go into it that this 408 isn't going to have.
