Ok I thought we were all on the same page here. I'm talking about a 351 windsor stroked to a 408 with some aftermarket heads and cam. Not some special combustion chamber design. Your safe bet is going to be 10.5:1 on pump gas. Call any of the major companies and they will tell you the same thing I know because I did it when I was choosing a compression ratio for my build.

We aren't comparing apples to apples when you say my GSXR has 12:1. Are you going to say it safe to spin the 408 to 13,000 rpm's too .

I don't think you can compare the LS7 either because they are totally different animals. Plus I think the LS7 had years of technology go into it that this 408 isn't going to have.

I'm just speaking realistically. Good luck with the build.

No, but that would be insane! Car will be a weekend beater, cuz with a nitrous snortin' 408 (410, JJ) you ain't "cruzin" it nowhere! I want it to sound "angry"!

Bikes can run more compression because of how they are camm'd.
