    Fox Cheap Electric fan...

im not sure if i even posted this before but i put an electric fan in my car awhile back and this is what i did and used. i had too much trouble finding a mark viii fan and i didnt like they way they fit anyways....

    Needed:
99-04 Jeep grand cherokee electric fan, believe they came in 4.0s and the v8s
    stock fan shroud
older escort temp ground switch to kick the fan off and on with a relay (i think they used this ground switch til the mid 80s) or dont be so cheap and just get a fan controller

There are three mounting tabs that need to be cut off the jeep fan, cut them off and smooth them. Then just stick the fan inside your factory shroud, drill holes through both the shroud and fan housing and use 3 or 4 bolts to fasten it. its almost a perfect fit, i used some extra weather stripping from my moonroof to seal the small gap between the two. the ground switch i just took and drilled a hole directly into the water that comes off the intake, you can slightly see it (brass fitting) in the second picture right behind the rad hose. make sure you take it off the car before you drill it or you will end up with metal shavings in your water! ive personally never had any problem with it regulating the engine temp, works perfect idling and obviously the fan never runs while running down the highway. The only issue i had was the ground switch will let the fan run after you shut the car off with constant power. so just throw in a relay with switched power and ground your fan to your ground switch.

Cool, that almost qualifies you as a 2.3 Turbo guy. Most of us have a reputation of being legendary cheap ;)
