Ford recalls 435,000 Mustangs
February 27, 04:04pm EST
Ford has announced the recall of 435,000 2005-2008 model year Mustangs. The recall is due to a software glitch, which can cause the passenger's side airbag to deploy with more force than allowed by National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Recall notices will be sent to Mustangs owners this week.
According to Automotive News, Ford dealers will not be able to sell or even give test drives in the affected vehicles until the software is updated.
Despite the recall, the Mustang's five-star front-crash safety rating will not be impacted.
