    Picked up a new cobra

Orangemachine and I went down to pick this car up last weekend in southern South Carolina. All told it took 25hrs straight. I was sick of driving after that.

It has a host ($14k worth) of road racing mods consisting largely of MM, Bilstein, 2000R, and Brembo. Looks like i'll have something for the turns after all this yr. I'm thinking 1 weekend at BeaveRun, 1 weekend at Mid-Ohio, and a few autocrosses in between. My old 04 cobra was no comparison to this car in the handling dept.

Grats John LMK when you go to Beaverun and maybe we can meet up for a Flat out Friday and some twisting fun. I plan on doing at least one Flat out Friday this year. Beaverun is just 4 miles from my house.

    '01 or '99?
I see '01 lights and rear bumper and '99 wing.
Nice car, I bet it handles great. Those cars are better balanced than the Terminators, plus the mods.

It's a 99. Supposedly there was a recall on the 99 back bumper from warpage. (i've seen warped ones in person) Ford replaced it with an 01 bumper.

My 04 cobra just felt really heavy in the turns...even though it easily blew by every car in my beginner's run group...i expect this car to be MUCH faster.

This one was a fraction of the cost....:D

Actually I didn't plan on getting another late model....but with rising fuel prices and me driving 20k miles/yr....the fuel savings will be about $100/mo. over my current DD. (ok...that is a lame excuse to justify a toy...but that's what i tell myself and it works. :o)

Sounds good bud. I hope to have mine lowered buy then so I can keep up in the turns. I know I won't have a problem on the strait aways.
