Talking So I'm coming home from SGS today on the turnpike...

umm, I meant the turnpike in Russia.

Anyway, I had to smoke a kid in a Lexus IS300. I had the cruise set on 74 and he blows by me about 100MPH. So what, big deal. Then, he smacks his brakes and slows way down just to stare at me. I looked over and gave him the dreaded double downshift to 3rd then 4th. I was at 120 in no time. I put a couple tp exits on him. Then I resumed my cruise on 74. He blew by me about 30 seconds later and didn't look over. Never saw him again.

    LOL nice kill

there seem to be a lot of low-mid priced cars that are solidly in the 13's that are the first quick cars for many a driver. I have a feeling with some of the 2008 offerings (like the new 1 series) there are going to be reality checks a plenty going around.

philly, you drive that TP quite often. I go back and forth 2-3 times a year to Harrisburg for work. Help me out with something. Why does it seem like 3,4,5 or more people will fly by like 90-100 with Ohio or more western states (so they're not getting off), then you pass the troopers sitting there in all the hot spots, but you never see these peeps getting pulled over? Seems like this happens every time I'm on that road. I'd get nailed the first full 100MPH mile that I'd run on that damn road.

I drive it quite often and see the same thing between here and breezewood. Usually I am the one behind them doing about 80-85 and letting there brakelights tell me where the cops are. Once you drive the pike a few times you know where the cops sit and where they don't.

The thing is, if they're from ohio, and they're flying, they know where the hotspots are.

For example, two hotspots I can think of going westbound are:

    1) right after the "double tunnel" maybe 1/4 mile down there's a semi-hidden turnout with almost no slowdowntime, and

    2) the hidey-hole as you're going down that last hill before the breezewood exit. That spot has roughly an 85% chance of cops based on driving back and forth.

After a while, you learn where the hideyholes are that they prefer to use, and where they show up the most often. Between that and a detector, you pretty much learn where its safe to hit triple digits and where its best to just chill.

well, I went through twice today. 9:30am and 5:30pm.

It sounds like a 5-ton dump truck with a hole in the exhaust till 3K then it sounds like a baby Ferrari on the top-end. weird, but in a nice way.
