Im burning 2 much oil. + Maintenance help

I have a 92 and im burning more oil than I should. 1 quart in 1000 miles. I usually do 1 quart every 2200. Is there any kind of pcv system or other related system that could be causing me to burn too much oil? Anything I should be checking?

Also, I need to know the cheapest place to buy ford racing 9mm wires, i need a set.

how many miles on the motor? every been rebuilt??

I have those wires on my '66, but was told by 94Cobra that they are not good wires. They have a very high resistance. Other brands such as MSD, Taylor, etc are supposed to be much better.

I have not had any problems with the wires, but thought I'd pass along the info.

does your car smoke at all? if so, could be the rings

i've also heard(about ford racing wires) that if you have your car running at night and look under the hood the wires glow

I dont think its the rings, the car only has 90K on it. It smokes a tiny bit when I hammer it, but its rare.
