Changing to an aftermarket cd player with mach 460?

I was wondering if anyone changed to an aftermarket cd player and kept the mach 460 sound? I found a few adaptors but the reviews say they suck so I was wondering how any of you did this?

Subscribing... My CD player doesn't work 1/2 the time and I too want to replace it, but not the entire Mach460 setup.

As long as you get the right converter to send low level (RCA Cable) input to the Mach 460 amps, you should be fine.

Total image is in Robinson now??? They started here in Johnstown YEARS ago, I knew they had 1-2 other stores (they used to have on in Connelsville if I'm not mistaken) but I never knew they were out there.

The one in Connelsville has no affiliation to the others.

I have the Pioneer AVIC-1 in mine with the stock setup. Audio Communications used a adapter and everything works fine. I can even turn the amps on and off......

I did this in the Mach, but I ran new wires alongside the old and used RCA outs.
Using new wires was simple and no major splicing of the stock stuff.

so i hooked up the new cd player. i went to circuit city and bought a converter thingy and the bottom fill in piece. all together it was like $42 something. well the converter plugs into the stock harness and has another plug that plugs into the square plug for the amps. all the speaker wires splice into the amp plug and all the other wires splice into the harness wire. very easy and still sounds great.

i was about to post a new thread asking what you all thought about your stock stereo equipment. if its good or if it should be replaced, looks like the speakers etc are good, but the head unit isnt so great... is this right? im not an audiophile by any means, but i like good full sound.

It all sucks! But if you're not an audiophile, it may be OK for you.
