87 gt burning fuel like nobodys business .any ideas ?? its smoking and you can smell it
also anybody know where i can get a complete running 302 engine for an 87 mustang .. 306 would be even better ... i need this for a non mass air car , let me know guys thanks

I had a similar problem years ago on my '87 GT conv. - You might have a cracked / disconnected vacuum hose coming off of the MAP sensor - the black vacuum tree on the firewall on the driver's side. Happened to me once - ran like crap - 6 mpg - smelled. Put on a new piece of hose ( old one had cracked badly ). Problem solved.
