    they make metal caps for metal tubing. just some flux, silver solder and a torch and you you can sweat in on like doing copper water pipes

    The solder can take the temp of the x pipe without melting?

    that's why i say silver solder. not the typical lead/tin water pipe stuff. unless you're turning your pipes red with a huge turbo you'll be fine, it has a much higher melting point but also costs a lot more. if the pipes aren't hot enough to cook the rubber hose... i have a roll here but i think i'm out of acetylene.

    I have map gass torch at home, and I have access to a oxy acetelene torch at work. can I buy silver solder at lowes or something? My motor is stock except for the exhaust so It won't get any hotter then the cats, I imagine.
