I am looking to convert my attic into a large game room. My house is 2 years old so it was built with pre fabbed 2x4 trusses. I would like to consult with a structural engineer to have plans made up for altering the trusses. Any opinions?

You should be able to just scab either 2 x 10 or 2 x 12's on to the existing trusses to use as the base for your flooring. Of course things like how many supporting walls you have below to carry the load and how far the spans between them are.
