Steelers do not like to mess around with players who repeatedly get in trouble. I would bet he will end up in Oakland.
I would vote for him to be the 2008 O.J. Simpson Award Winner
he was on the out anyways... ward, holmes, and washington are the main wrs... and can't forget about miller and spaeth.
they won't draft a wr early

"If you want something done right, do it yourself"
So why release Wilson for his behavior and just ignore Harrison's?
Cedric really blew it. There aren't many places a slow, undersized receiver can play in this league. This was that place. He might not get picked up by anyone given his years in the league and the minimum salary he would be required to get. All that being said, I think Cedric might not have survived camp this year, and might have lost his roster spot anyway. We need Washington to grow some hands and become more reliable, and we need Santonio to "grow" some durability.
GM - take it easy on Hines - he almost never misses games. From 1999-2006 ( 8 seasons or 128 games), he only failed to start in 6 of them. Last year was the first time he missed consecutive games due to injury, and that injury was a bad-looking one, especially if you saw it in slo-mo. He is as mentally and physically tough as they come. He is, by far, my favorite player in the league. The NFL needs more guys like Hines to serve as role models.
I'll be happy if all we do is draft mostly O-line and and a D-line player this year. With a healthy Troy Polamalu and Ryan Clark, and Aaron Smith back at full strength ( hopefully ) our defense should be solid. That alone should give us a good shot at winning the division and at least making a playoff run in 2008. Our toughest competition will be, dare I say, the Browns. The Ravens are too old and the Bengals will continue to self-destruct as they have in years past.

Dont get me wrong about Hines as he's been my favorite player for years.
He's a total badazz and one of the toughest s.o.b.'s in the league.
It's just my opinion that he's on the downside of his career which really breaks my heart cause i've followed him closely for alot of years and if Hines could be explained in just one word it would be "Heart".
Old guys remember Erinie Holmes shooting at the Police helecopter. Ernie was traded to Tampa Bay. He was one of the Steel Curtain defense and that did not help him.
I think they released Wilson because of the magnitude of the two incidents. You did not see Harrison back in the news a couple of weeks later.
Punching a woman out in a bar two weeks after having an incident was enough.
Steeler's do not want that type of player/person associated with there image. If Harrison has another incident, he too will be gone even though he is a pro bowl linebacker.
Wilson should have just walked away but some dudes get stupid with women.
Redhead are normally high strung anyways so I am sure their arguments were extremely nasty.
But all he had to do was walk away.
Can you say, "At receiver, number 80 for the Oakland Raiders....".
Remember this is a pro football team without cheerleaders to keep the family friendly image.
But listen to the drunken Steeler fans in the stands...so much for that family image lol
