So I went into my hunting spot yesterday morning to drop off my stealth camera and 100lbs of food. I didnt run into a problem till I started to leave. As I was backing out I hit a rut that made my rear-end slide towards the woods, well after that my dad went down hill. I tried rockin the truck out for about 30mins and this picture is where i stoped. So wait it gets better....So just about all my buddies were at work yesterday, so I was trying to figure out who to call that might be able to help me in my time of need. So I called my one buddy that has a 99 F-350 Crew Cab PowerStroke to assist me. Well as he pulled into line with my truck, his truck sank. So the tuff guy that he is tries rockin back and forth and stall the truck out twice. At this time he's up to his hubs in mud (i took a pic of both out trucks stuck but I guess i didnt save it). So I had my sister come pick me up and bring me back to my house to get another car and my 3ton come-along. Me and my buddy used that come-along for 1.5hours and it felt like we only move it 5ft. So I said "F" it and went to every auto parts store under the sun for a winch. Pep boys had a "Master Lock" electic winch for lie $80. So i bought it. We get back to my truck, the winch makes ONE, 15ft pull and the motor burnt up (kinda figured that was going to happen, that or the wire snap). I knew that Lowes @ the PGH Mills had Winches so I called out there and to my luck they had a 3700lb Warn Winch. So I bought that mofo. After battling Rt.28 back to PH I bolted it up to the mounting plate and within 15mins both trucks were free. Long ass day. So if anyone needs to barrow a winch, Im your Guy!!
