    dyno tuning

Hey im new to the forum and I procharged my car this winter. I wanted to know where the best place to go for a dyno tune. I heard speednation in castle shannon got bought out and the new owner doesnt know how to tune. I called strope speed in washington and they dont have there dyno in yet. So if you guys could help me out I would appreciate it. Thanks

Locally your kinda screwed. I get mine at SGS but thats out near harrisburgh. Ohio has some good tuners but they are also kinda far away. How far you willing to go?

In my opinion that's a bad question....you can't put a mileage limit on getting a good tune.

I've had EXCELLENT experiences with my stuff and friends stuff at SGS. I hear street lethal is good as well and they are board sponsors. I think they're near butler but check out the "ask a vendor" forum.

Count your blessings that "Stroke's Screw Shop" isn't tuning your car.

You cannot tune your car solely with an x-cal 2....you need the "pro racers package" as well.

    I recommed:
Don LaSota at LaSota Racing in Ohio
    or
Dave Guy at SGS in Dillsburg PA (near Carlisle)

I don't have their websites handy but I'm sure you can find them with a google search or someone else may have them and be able to post them up here.

just don't go high-rpm and get into the boost too much and you should be fine.

Dave Guy at SGS knows his chit, but that is/was a long ride. Maybe I'm just a sissy???

I think Big Shot Dyno in Hudson, OH tunes Fords, too. They're about 1/2 way from Pittsburgh to Cleveland, I think?

where is the 'base' tune from? did you get the s/c as a package somewhere that came with a tuner's base tune or is it just a canned tune from the s/c company?

Either way, it's probably pig rich and you shouldn't do much damage, but why take that chance?

I got the tune from a guy that specializes in sct software and sixers (vmptuning.com). My car is a 6. He said I should be lookin close to 300 to the wheels with all my mods.
