Got Comcast or other cable internet? In here please:

We are FINALLY getting digital cable on my road. I am signing up for the 3 in 1 deal from Comcast and need to know some stuff regarding the cable in my home.

Do I need to have RG-6 cable? I *think* we have RG59 or something like that currently. It was installed in 1995 when the house was built. Can I use that cable for the new digital internet and digital TV signal or will I need to run all new line? I would hate to fish all new cable thru the house.

Not sure what my old cable # was, but when we got the 3 for 1 deal they ran new cable all around. They also put a new box on it. Call them people, they will tell ya what you need. Good luck.

cable company should run all new wires into your house for digital. every time i got cable hooked up ,they ran new wires.

Mark. They will run new wire even the jumpers on the back of the tv to your vcr they want there stuff on there rather than the cheaper stuff...

Truth be told I hate TV. I get most all I need on the net.

I want it mostly for internet as I have slow broadband internet via satellite now.

Comcast internet blows.... but its far better than dial-up or DSL....

Dont expect your lines to be replaced just due to them being 59. And really dont expect it to be done if all of your lines are wall fished that service runs 35.00/hr plus 20$ per outlet. As long as its not copper braid then there shouldnt be an issue. As per my opinion i dont like the cdv phone and wouldnt have it in my house unless it was just to get the bundle package.

If you didn't live in BFE you could have FIOS. I have FIOS for all three, love it.

City Dweller? I live in the mountains! We just got DSL in our area, so FIOS in 2020 BABY! LOL
