I hope the 4 vs 5 matchup ends up being NJ vs. Ottawa, then one gets knocked out early. Those two teams give the pens problems.

I look at it this way. If we get a high seed (say #1 or #2) then we play #7 or #8, teams that barely got into the playoffs to begin with. While there is no gaurantees in any games or series, the pens should be able to clear the first round, all the while all the other teams are beating each other up.

If a lower seeded team can upset one of the higher ranked teams, it is possible for the pens to play a suck-o team in the 2nd round again.

By the time the 3rd round comes, hopefully the pens have gotten into a groove and they meet a beat up team.

Agreed. I dont like New Jersey, Philadelphia, or Ottawa. We might do OK against the Rangers, but won't meet them till possibly the 2nd round.

It is just exciting to see them make the playoffs and hopefully have the talent they lacked from last year to go deep into the playoffs.

Philly is always the most dangerous when they limp into the playoffs. Remember '89? that was one of many examples. The flyers barely finished 4th and yet won the division before losing to Montreal in 5.

If the Flyers do make it into the playoffs, I hope they do play the penns first. Then when the pens lose they can join the steelers and pitt basketball.
