Nothing like being blinded by smoke while going slightly over the posted limit. I hope you get things worked out with the car. On a positive note, it was good to meet some new people and catch up with others.

I agree. Felt like i was in a nascar race. Couldnt see anything!!

Man, that's horrible Mitternacht! Didn't your car have a stock bottom end 4.6?? And weren't you running somewhere around the limits of that stock bottom end?? I dont know the limits of mustangs very well, but i was thinking that's right about what the limits were.... Maybe time just paid its toll.... I am very sorry to hear about your car!

Larry (Casper GT) was in the left lane last year when I fragged a turbo at about 400' during time trials (so he was behind me ;) ) 3 quarts of oil right into the exhaust, blinded him, and ran off a ll the mosquito's for some distance from PRP. Its amazing how bad heavy oil smoke can be.

Sorry to hear about the car man. Hope you're able to get it back on the road soon. Good seeing everyone last night. Hopefully we can do that sort of thing more often this year. And for those suggesting Robinson that's where we ended up so you should have come out anyways :p

I was under the car lunchtime; connecting rod pierced the side of the oil pan; not the block. I PM'd Wolfpack and Roadheaver's to see what they typically charge for a 4.6 rebuild.

Save yourself the trouble and get some forged parts when you get it rebuilt
