    My new work ride

Makes going to work alot nicer!

It's an 07 Harley Davidson FLHTP with the 103 CI and 6 speed transmission. Pretty quick for a heavy Harley Davidson.

haha. I just wondered. When I saw you were from Jeanette I thought you might work were we bought it, Highland Harley. I was told it has a recall on the heads, do you know anything about that or what the problem is?

i know a little bit......if they fall in-between certain build dates they get the heads completely replaced (i think) and a new compression release valve.

I believe it was built it 6-07. So will it hurt to keep riding it? Actually it is a little hard to start sometimes, sounds like the timing is off. I guess that could be the compression release valve

To my knowledge no it will not hurt anything, except the starter. You were exactly right, your bike has the symptoms lol, The heads are replaced with different heads with the CR-Valve. But once its done you should feel a nice performance increase also. Does it bang or shudder when you start it? Or turn over for a period before starting?

Im not a mechanic, but im fairly accurate at this stuff

Sometimes it cranks weird then pops and bangs back against the starter. It sounds like a car when the timing is too far advanced and the engine is hot. Other than that it runs great.

yea you should be ok, but the dealership should install the new heads free of charge, so just to be safe get it done asap.
