    Fired the Capri Tonight

Well, going to the track yesterday and standing around watching sure got me motivated ;) Threw the rest of the tune up parts at it tonight, charged the battery, and amazing enough, it runs :D Its also on the ground on all 4 tires since I broke an axle last fall. Nothing significant, but a few pics......

Tomorrow the interior comes out for the roll bar install, and a few other missing bits to be installed. Probably wont be ready for this weekend, but its looking REAL good for the Ironman race the next weekend :D

I've owned 3 Capri's first was a 86 GS (did a 5 speed swap) second was a 85 RS (heads, cam, and a bunch of other bolt on stuff) was faster than my Cobra and a 83 RS. I'd love to get another Capri... I love the looks. Sorry I'm done drooling now.

Heh...I just finished my interior, battery disconnect, and I'm firing mine up tomorrow. It amazing what the first day of racing will do to motivate you.

    Congrats Bob.

Is a tubular header worth any significant power on these turbo motors or can you port the CI manifolds for more flow?

In General, there is some HP in a tube header, but at a price. The durability of them is rather suspect. If you are running a tube header, its not IF its going to crack, but WHEN. Beside that, my combo is a small turbine, so my pressure ratio is out of control (think 60 psi in manifold at 25 PSI boost). The turbine is much more of a restriction than the manifold is. I error to the side of durabilty with my junk.

The manifold in the pictures has a TON of port work done to it. Every time I have it off, I grind a little more :D It flows as good as I need right now.
