    Torque Box Welds

    Ok...so i got a 93 Fox.
I need to get my torque boxes welded. I got a local guy who I know who does great welding, however, I don't really know what to tell him to weld. I pretty sure he needs to weld all the way around the areas where the upper and lower control arms connect to the body on the rear. Is there more to it than that? Is there anything up front I need to weld up? I already got my cage and frame connectors welded in. Pictures of what I need to do would be great.
Also, I figure I need to drop the rear and remove the interior, fuel lines, anything else?
    Any help would be appreciated.
On a side note, if this doesn't work out, what do you guys charge to do this job?

    Thanks!

This is a really embarrassing question to ask, but what exactly does a torque box do?

Well....it's basically where your control arms of your rear end mount to the body/shell of your car. Thus, weak or bad ones....and your launch sucks. My car is a mostly strip car that just happens to be street legal, well.....depending apon the inspection mechanic.

there are upper and lower boxes, they are really weak from the factory, a few harsh launches at the strip will almost perminently ruin them... so it is a GREAT idea to brace em up, LMM sells "battle boxes" these are one of the best things you can do to the upper and lower boxes, you can either weld or bolt them in, i like to do both weld and bolt em in, also it is a great idea to weld all the factory joints and seams that make up the torque boxes, the factory only uses spot welds and they are a few inches apart sometimes, i like to weld em up completely and put a brace across the lower box as is is shaped like a "U".. This can be hard to do if your car has alot of rust on these items as most fox bodys do...
